Exploring the galleries and attractions along the Cultural Trails, or venturing on a road trip through the World Heritage-listed national parks of Uluru, Cobram or further into Beechworth. DESCRIPTION The tour starts with a smoking ceremony and welcome. Mooroopna (meaning ''deep water hole) is in the centre of the Yorta Yorta Cultural Landscape and has historical stone Milbi (caves) following stone channels and galin-bundinya (waterfall), home sites and scare trees, water wells dating back 65,000 years. Your guide will show you these sites, as well as: a 400-year-old birthing tree used for birthing babies an area of lava flow river bed featuring canoe scare trees a fresh water beach associated with trapping and holding fish Visit several National Parks in Chesney Vale National Park, Ulupna Island Beach, Gooram Falls and Yeddonba Aboriginal Cultural Site each site you will enjoy a Dreamtime story of each area and a tour guide. The Yorta Yorta call the spirit of this land Dunghala, and have strong connections to the Barmah National Park The Yorta Yorta call the area ‘Kanny Goopna’ or deep waterholes by which people camped, and it is where the legend of Dunghala began. Your guide will take you on 4 cultural walks or 5 days with key features of interest including Winton wetlands, directional trees, caves, forest, and wildlife including an extensive koala population. After each day, return to Mokoan Cafe ( Chesney Vale)The Beach Cobram (Ulupna Island) Seven Rivers (Gooram Falls) PROVENANCE (Yeddonba Aboriginal Cultural Site), arriving at approximately 1 pm. (Lunch included) Participants have the option to join A three-course Bush Tukka cooking class by (Craigmuir Lake) - An extra day with an Additional cost Tour Fee Includes: Batdjala Aboriginal guide, transport, guided cultural walks, access fees into sacred sites. A Madhanmadhu Dhal (Bush Tukka) tasting plate can be ordered for an additional cost. DID YOU KNOW? Kurtonitj (meaning 'crossing place') is sacred to the Yorta Yorta Nation with enormous cultural, archaeological, and environmental significance. Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy Missed Experience Policy Our goal is to provide quality activities to all our guests in a timely manner. No-shows, late arrivals, and cancellations inconvenience not only our providers, but our other clients as well. Please be aware of our policy regarding missed appointments. Cancellation When you book with us, you are holding a space on our calendar that is no longer available to our other guests. In order to be respectful of others, please call Avalon Karatau 48 hours before the experience stars. That you will not be able to make the experience. If cancellation is necessary, we require that you call at least 48 hours in advance. Experiences are in high demand, and your advanced notice will allow another guests to attend. How to Cancel Your Experience If you need to cancel your experience, please call us at 0402606481 between the hours of 5pm - 9pm. If necessary, you may leave a detailed voicemail message. We will return your call as soon as possible. Late Cancellations/No-Shows A cancellation is considered late when the experiences we do is cancelled less than 48 hours before the appointed time. A no-show is when a guest misses an appointment without cancelling. In either case, we will charge the guest the total price of the booked experience missed fee. Please note, we do not offer refunds. However, if you give us at least 48 hours notice of your need to cancel, we will credit your payment toward another Event/Class. However, if you do not cancel with at least 48 hours notice, you will lose any payments you have already made.
